About the Artist
My abstract landscapes are inspired by the desert west. I strive to capture the essence of the arid terrain’s vastness and surreal beauty and reflect my deep connection to this unique environment, translating texture, the striking play of light and dark, the rich palette of desert shadows and new growth and layered textures to evoke the feeling of expansiveness and solitude. Through abstraction, I hope to transcend the literal and evoke a sense of exploration, celebrating the mystery and resilience found in the desert.
In addition to her studio practice, Cunningham is a Co-Founder and serves as Assistant Coordinator for the Fort Worth Art Collective, a group of established professional artists from multiple disciplines and mediums who work together to show encourage, promote and provide opportunities for artists.
